Accepting Applications for Transaction Brokerage Services

The Silverton Housing Authority (SHA) is seeking a licensed real estate broker to provide transaction brokerage services for the sale of nine newly constructed affordable homes in the Anvil Townhomes Development.

This is an opportunity to contribute professional services as an in-kind donation under the Colorado Enterprise Zone (EZ) Tax Credit Program, which provides a 12.5% state income tax credit for qualified charitable contributions.

Scope of Work:
The selected broker will coordinate with SHA staff to manage sales, purchase contracts, and closings with approved buyers. Work will begin in December 2025 and continue through 2026, qualifying for EZ tax credits in both years.

Enterprise Zone Information:
The Anvil Townhomes Development is a qualified project under the Southwest Colorado EZ Program. The value of the in-kind donation will be based on the broker’s standard commission rate. SHA will provide all required documentation for tax credit verification.

Licensed brokers operating in San Juan County are invited to apply. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

SILVERTON, CO – September 30, 2025 – U.S. Highway 550 will have temporary closures on Friday, October 10, to allow for the safe delivery of newly constructed modular housing units over Coal Bank and Molas Pass to Silverton. The arrival of these units marks a major milestone in Silverton’s ongoing effort to expand affordable housing opportunities.
