HomesFund is coming to Silverton to instruct a Homebuyer Education Class. Upon completion of the class, participants will earn a certificate of completion of a HUD certified Homebuyer Education Class, a prerequisite for many homeownership programs (such as the Anvil Townhomes Ownership program) and financing opportunities. Registration is required. Please contact the Silverton Housing Authority for scholarship opportunities.
Our HomesFund Homebuyer Education Class covers the process of homebuying, including Budgeting, Real Estate, Mortgage Lending, Insurance, and Inspections. We also go over the programs for down payment assistance as offered by HomesFund. The class is from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. You will receive an email a few days before the class with an agenda and a map to the building/classroom.
There is a $19.00 materials fee for the workbook that you get to take home. Only one workbook per household is needed however you can purchase as many as you like. You will be required to pay this fee through PayPal at registration and will receive your workbook on the day of class.
Child and Pet care will not be provided, so please plan accordingly. Please do not bring children or pets to class.
Please arrive early for check-in. Class is closed to registration by 10:05 am.
